Trick Dog Training

Tricks are a fun activity to share with your dog, and a great way to earn titles from the American Kennel Club (AKC).

  • Titles Work toward AKC Trick Dog Novice, Intermediate and Advanced
  • Length Most are our normal 6-week sessions; Performer/Performer Elite runs 9 weeks
  • Cost Shown with each class below. Most 6-week group classes are $255, sales tax included.

Package credits can’t be used for Performer/Performer Elite. It meets for 9 weeks so there’s time to learn and apply the tricks. You can still use package credits for our other Trick Dog classes.

Novice/Intermediate

Teaches and reviews every trick on the AKC Novice and Intermediate Trick Dog checklists, such as shaking hands, rolling over, getting inside a box, crawling and lots more. By the end of the session, most dogs are ready to certify for both their AKC Trick Dog Novice and Intermediate titles.

Advanced

Offered occasionally, for teams who want more of a challenge. Covers most of the tricks on the AKC Advanced Trick Dog list, with some review from the Intermediate list. Favorites include Go Hide, Pick Pocket, Play Dead (or Go to Sleep) and Take a Bow. At the end, you’ll have the chance to earn your AKC Advanced Trick Dog title.

We also offer Performer/Performer Elite, a 9-week session (see the note above about package credits).
