Rules for appointments at Family Dog

The safety of our students and our classes is, and will remain, our highest priority. Please follow these rules when you visit Dr. Patti at Family Dog Training Center.

  • Only dogs with an appointment come inside. All other dogs must stay in your vehicle.
  • Your dog must be well-mannered and under control at all times, whether or not they are a Family Dog student. If your dog can’t walk into the building on a loose leash without aggressive behavior (including barking or lunging), they must be muzzled, carried or crated.
  • Don’t disrupt classes or other dogs. Keep your dog on a short leash and at least ten feet from all other dogs. Don’t let your dog wander up to others, sniff, bark, growl or lunge.
  • You hold your own dog during the appointment.
  • Wear a mask during the appointment.
  • You must have the Covid vaccination to see Dr. Patti.

We will not continue hosting Dr. Patti if our classes are disrupted or our students’ dogs are threatened. If you can’t or won’t follow these guidelines, we’ll ask you not to return to Family Dog and to book your appointments at the vet clinics in Tacoma and Olympia where Dr. Patti also sees clients. Thank you for your cooperation. The staff of Family Dog Training Center and Dr. Patti Schaefer
