What you and your dog learn
We use luring and shaping to teach all kinds of skills, depending on the students’ interests:
Focus and stillness
Attention around distractions, and holding still.
Moving with purpose
Pot (perch) work, backing up, moving laterally, spins, and circling cones left and right.
Balance and conditioning
Cavalletti, small and low platforms, and inflatables.
Form
Sit, stand and drop changes with proper form, hand touches, leg weaves and more.
Is this the right class for my dog?
- Your dog is well under control on leash and food motivated.
- No aggressive dogs, for everyone’s safety.
- You understand the concepts of luring and shaping.
- New to us? If you haven’t taken classes with Kathy Lang, a private lesson may also be needed.
