Keep building on Advanced Home Obedience. Your dog’s skills get stronger and more consistent around distractions, in preparation for off-leash control.
- Prerequisite Advanced Home Obedience, successfully completed
- Length 6 weekly one-hour classes
- Cost $255 for a 6-week session, sales tax included
- Good for Everyday life, and a foundation for Rally, Agility and other performance sports
Bring your dog to the first class. Please come with your dog and your current training equipment in week 1.
What your dog learns
Each session starts from where your class is now and builds stronger, more consistent behaviors around food, toys, people and other dogs.
Drop on recall
Your dog drops into a down while coming to you.
Finishes
Your dog moves from in front of you back to your side.
Out-of-sight stays
Stays worked more thoroughly, including while you’re out of sight.
Figure 8 and heeling
An introduction to heeling, the Figure 8, and when to use heeling.
Is this the right class for my dog?
It’s probably for you if:
- Your dog has successfully completed Advanced Home Obedience.
- You want more consistent behavior around food, toys, people and other dogs.
- You’re working toward off-leash control.
- You’re thinking about Rally, Agility or another performance sport and want a solid foundation first.
